Fired

THERE’S something to be said for comedy in porn. Fired is a little Nutty Professor (the Jerry Lewis one) crossed with Office Space, with a dash of slapstick (or slap-dick, if you prefer).

Carmen Hart has decent delivery and timing, and the backing tracks are a refreshing change from the usual ‘bow-chicka-wa-wa’ twangs and beats. After being sacked from yet another job, Carmen takes the advice of her ditsy roommates and decides to sleep her way to the top.

There’s Marilyn Monroe and JFK send-ups, as well as a latex-clad doctor ‘nursing’ her billionaire patient back to health by easing his distressing case of blue balls. It’s no Superbad, but you’re sure to chuckle at some of the situations that crop up.
