What have you been up to since you were named our Pet of the Year Runner-up in 2008?
SEXPO has kept me pretty busy. I’ve already emceed Sydney and Melbourne, and Brisbane SEXPO kicks off in the first week of March. I’m performing as well as hosting the event, and so far it has been great fun.
You own the Suzie Q Pole Studio, a prestigious pole-dancing school, in Sydney. Tell us about that.
Well, we’re gearing up to host an amateur pole-dancing competition in March, and we’ve also started doing a series of special events in conjunction with online adult dating company RedHotPie called PoleCandy. You can get all the details about classes at www.suzieqpolestudio.com.au.
How did you get into pole dancing, Miss Suzie?
I started out table dancing to pay off my university degree. From there, I began pole dancing and was pretty much hooked from the start. I love the performance side of modelling, plus travelling around the world is a great bonus.
You’re a very busy woman: you won Miss Nude Australia 2008 and Miss Pole Dance NSW 2009. What do you wish you had more time to do?
Pole dance! The sport is constantly evolving. Originally, it was just exotic dancers who did it, and now there are girls coming into the field with decades of experience in acrobatics and contortion. The performance standard is improving so fast that it’s increasingly difficult to keep up!
What’s your favourite position?
On the pole?
No, in bed…
I’m not sure—there are still a few I haven’t tried yet, so I’ll have to get back to you when I find out.
