Hey, Sasha! What have you been up to recently?
I just got back from the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. I was there promoting The Girlfriend Experience.
What’s The Girlfriend Experience?
It’s the new movie I’m in! No, its not a porn film… It’s a comedy directed by Steven Soderbergh. Apart from that, I’ve been working on the launch of my website, www.SashaGrey.com, and my adult novelty line.
You are a busy girl! What’s been your best experience in the industry so far?
Definitely working on Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge. It was the most time I’ve ever invested in an adult film. Winning AVN’s ‘Performer of the Year’ award in 2008 was also a milestone moment, as was becoming a Penthouse Pet in 2007.
What’s coming up for you in the near future?
Other than heading to Miami for the Exxxotica adult festival, for the next few months I’ll be on press tours all over the place, for my website launch and The Girlfriend Experience. Also, I’m going to start writing a lot more songs for my band, Atelecine.
If you could write, direct and star in your own movie, what would it be about?
You’ll have to wait and see – it’ll be out in a few months!

Sasha, caught you in the Girlfriend Expirence before Brighthouse Networks took off HDNet and you were fantastic. I knew you were a fantastic porn actress, because you always put more than just porn into your scenes, you put everything into it, but you put your heart and soul into The Girlfriend Expirence and I would rate it a 4 out od 5 stars, only because I think the ending could have been a little better but that wasn’t your fault. Your acting is a 5 out 5. Looking forward to you next great movie both porn and straight. Glad to see that you have the ability to make the crossover between both mediums.

I hate it when they want to crossover bla bla bla. You’ve made the choice to do porn. So do it and stop implying you don’t want to do porn and you really want to be taken seriously and do real acting etc. Otherwise I’ll stop spending my $$ on you and go elsewher

John Kimble: its her choice to earn a living anywhere and anyhow she wants. Yes shes made the choice to do porn and now shes making the choice to act. U are obviously a chauvanistic prick who will always spend ur hard earn $$$ on hot naked girls so u wont ever run out of images to spank to and yes if not her some other one.

She didn’t exactly go looking to get out of porn movies, Steven Soderbergh was doing a movie about a young hooker who acts likes her clients’ girlfriend and he asked her to do the role as he thought she could pull it off more believably than a “mainstream actress”.
She figured it’d be interesting to do… it’s not the first step getting out of porn – she seems quite happy to be doing porn and expanding her participation (producing, directing etc)
