We catch up with our sexy Pet of the Year while she takes a well-earned break…

AP: Hi Tameka. Tell us what you have been up to since you became 2008 Pet of the Year…

Tameka: I’ve been really, really busy! I’ve been to Bali and Jakarta a couple of times to host parties (always using my Pet of the Year title, of course!), and I’m just back from a couple of weeks in Emerald, Qld, doing shows for the miners. I think I’m the first Penthouse Pet of the Year who has visited, so you can imagine the guys were pretty excited! When I came back from Emerald, I flew to Melbourne to judge the Miss Centrefold Oceania final at—you guessed it—Centrefold Lounge on King Street. It’s an awesome club with three open levels that look down on the stage area. In fact, I’ve heard rumours that the 2009 Pet of the Year event will be held there this year—is that right?

AP: It’s looking good… [Very good in fact... more news coming soon]

So, what do you have coming up before then?

Tameka: In June, I’ll probably be in Darwin, performing at The Honey Pot, so I encourage everyone in the area
to stop by and say ‘hi’! Then, in August, I have another Bali gig, which is great because it gets me out of the cold here in NSW—brrr! And, of course, there’s the 2009 Pet of the Year gala event coming up, where I’ll hand over my crown
to the incoming Pet of the Year.
