All hell broke loose when Margaret Duncan took off all her clothes to entertain her classmates in grade two. Though her friends had cheered her through her first public strip routine, and though Margaret saw nothing wrong in what she was doing, her teachers took a dim view of the matter. Margaret was told she was a bad, bad girl and sent home with a stern note. Not much more than a decade down the line the reaction to 18-year-old Margaret’s shedding her gear before an audience was pretty much the same.
