Dean Crooke has been tearing up Australian racetracks at 160km/h since he was 12. He won the 2000 Junior Victorian Club Championship, and two senior titles in 2006 and 2008. Racing is in his blood. His father, Jon, also competed in Superkart, and went on to become Australian Formula Two champion in 1986, and drive for the Holden Dealer Team in the 1987 Bathurst 1000, alongside Peter Brock.

MotoGP fans can buy a replica of Chris Vermeulen’s 2008 GSX-R1000–number 7 of 200 limited edition models featuring Suzuki’s distinctive Blue MotoGP livery and sponsor logos, as part of an international charity auction.

The 10-day auction starts on 25 June, with proceeds going to Riders for Health and Wings for Life. The buyer also receives a limited edition helmet and a VIP package (grandstand seats, access to Suzuki’s corporate hospitality, pit tour, merchandise and two nights accommodation) for the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring, in July. Vermeulen and team-mate Loris Capirossi will present the winning bidder with their new GSX-R1000 at an official function.

Dry July is on!  Give your body a break from booze while raising funds to help cancer patients treated at one of Australia’s leading cancer treatment centres, Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH), Randwick.
Dry July challenges people to commit to a self-imposed ‘one month prohibition’ – one month without drinking alcohol while raising funds through sponsorship.
Founded in 2008 by three-heavy-drinking-guys who decided to pack in the grog for a month, get healthy and raise a few bucks to help cancer patients, with more than 1000 people signing up to go Dry in July, the campaign generated $257,283 to help cancer patients treated at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital.
The Hospital will once again be the beneficiary of the funds raised by sponsorship from NSW. The Hospital  treats 3000 cancer patients annually and provides more than 40,000 cancer treatments each year.
