Hi everyone!

In June this year I was lucky enough to travel to the gorgeous city of Los Angeles (and Las Vegas, but that’s a whole other story heheh) to shoot some hot new photo sets for the super hot alternative erotica website, GodsGirls.Com! LA was absolutely amazing – I drank a lot of tequila, ate more burritos than any person should ever eat in the space of 2 weeks, and was actually shopping on Hollywood Boulevard when Michael Jackson’s death was announced… and boy, was it pretty intense seeing firsthand the reaction of the public!

I had so much fun over there that I’ve decided to go back in a few weeks time in late October, so I can be there for October 31st and witness my first REAL Halloween! So another year has come and gone, and in just a few days I’m gonna be hitting the big 25!

I have to admit, I’ve been having a bit of a ‘quarter life crisis’ over my impending birthday – for some reason twenty-five seems so much older than twenty-four. I went through a brief phase of feeling like I should have accomplished more by this point in my life, but when I really sat down and thought about it, I realised I haven’t done too badly – I mean hell, I’m a Penthouse Pet, and that’s pretty damn amazing! It seems like twenty-five is an age where a lot of people seem to have that minor freak out.

I’m looking forward to hitting the town on Saturday night (my actual birthday is Sunday the 23rd) to celebrate the occasion and get up close and personal with too many Jager Bombs. I’m getting a hotel room, then going out to see my boyfriend’s band play for their EP launch – if you happen to be around Adelaide this weekend you should come to Fowlers Live on North Tce and have a few drinks with me!

It’s funny to think that it’s been almost a year since I shot for Penthouse, and what a whirlwind of a year it has been! This time last year I was so focused on getting in shape for my cover shoot that I didn’t even celebrate my birthday at all, but it was definitely worth it

Of course, that means it’s not long now til Penthouse Pet of the Year is announced – and if you don’t wanna miss out on what is sure to be one of the hottest parties of 2009 you should drag your butt along to Centerfold Lounge in Melbourne on September 17th where you can meet me and all the other gorgeous Pets, and be the first to find out who takes out the crown! Okay… not wars, exactly. Just interesting differences.

The idea for this blog was sparked by a rather entertaining conversation I had with my workmate Lauren last week. For those of you who don’t follow my online exploits and don’t know what I do to occupy my days, I work in the office for an adult entertainment agency. It is my job to manage the male stripper half of the business, whilst Lauren manages the girls. The other day we were looking over both booking folders and saying how it’s funny how so many women book literally 6-8 months in advance, yet guys tend to leave it to the last minute. However, nine times out of ten guys will spend at least double what the girls will – it is extremely rare that girls at a hen’s night will ever book more than one male stripper, but it’s common for guys organising a buck’s night to get three topless waitresses and multiple strip shows ranging from mild to very, very wild. Lauren questioned why this is, and I think the answer is quite simple….

Girls don’t like looking at guys as much as guys like looking at girls.

Sure, I can look at a guy and appreciate him for having a pleasing physical appearance, but does it turn me on? Not exactly. I’ve had this conversation with many girlfriends over the years, and not one of us has ever said they’d even consider masturbating to pictures of naked men. Penises just don’t do it for us. Don’t get me wrong, I love dick, but for me it’s got a lot more to do with who it’s attached to than the actual organ itself. If someone tried to start a magazine for women containing pictures of naked men, I think the only people who would buy it would be gay guys. While it’s entirely commonplace for guys to jerk off while looking at a picture of some faceless, anonymous vagina, I can honestly admit that I have never once in my life felt even slightly aroused after looking at a picture of a penis.

Continuing our conversation, I made note of the differences in the types of shows we offer. A popular show on our list for the female strippers is the “Masturbation Show” where the girl strips naked and touches herself til she fakes (?) an orgasm, because let’s be honest, guys like watching chicks get off. But let’s reverse that, and consider a male masturbation show. If we were to add this to our list of services, I would be prepared to bet a very large sum of money that it would NEVER get booked because I don’t know a single girl who wants to sit in a group with her girlfriends and cheer while watching a tanned, muscular stranger rub one out. On a similar note, the female dildo shows are extremely popular, but if we offered a comparable male service we’d have a guy standing there fucking a Fleshlight, and, yeah, well… you get the point.

I find it interesting how men and women can be such different creatures. As humans it is natural for us to be sexual beings, yet the way we feel and express it can be absolutely nothing alike. It’s a crazy world we live in.

Hey guys! First of all, I’d like to say welcome to my new blog for the Australian Penthouse website, and a big thanks for reading!

My name is Ashlee Adams, and you may remember me from the cover of the January 2009 issue of your favourite magazine (if not, go check out some of my pics in the “More Pets” section of the website). I’m an Adelaide girl, and I love tattoos, video games, horror movies and British comedy. But enough about me!

On Tuesday night this week I was lucky enough to be invited along as a guest judge to the second night of heats of the prestigious “Miss Centerfold Oceania” competition, to watch while some of the hottest babes from Australia and New Zealand battled it out for the title. The event is held annually at The Palace gentlemen’s club in Adelaide, with the 12 national finalists appearing in the sexy Miss Centerfold calendar.

Now, I’ve been around the ‘naked women’ industry for many years and have seen a whole lot of boobs, but I have to admit even I was impressed with the standard of the lovely ladies competing on the night. Tuesday night saw six of the finalists competing, with the three who scored highest over all going into the big finale on Wednesday. Before the competition began I saw a few of the girls walking around the club and I knew it was gonna be tough to pick a winner, the girls were all absolutely gorgeous!

Once the shows had been performed, one girl stood out above the rest – the lovely Miss Trinity Porter from Sydney. Her flawless body combined with her fun, high-energy ‘marching girl’ show and her radiating personality on stage had us mesmerized and she was the clear favourite with me and my fellow judges. The other girls to make it through to the finale were the petite brunette Teejay from Adelaide, who performed a very fun ‘circus’ themed show, and a sultry brunette babe named Astra whom I believe was from New Zealand (I’d had quite a few bourbons by that point in the night so I can’t quite remember, big apologies to Astra if you’re reading this and you’re not from NZ!) who wowed us with a sexy ‘genie’ show. I must admit I was thrilled to see three dark haired beauties go through to the finale – go team brunette! Hehe.

Although I wasn’t able to attend the finale on Wednesday night, I was pleased to hear Trinity ended up taking home the crown, and I think if her show was anything like the one she performed on Tuesday she was a very deserving winner. There’s nothing better than watching a hot girl on stage who genuinely looks like she enjoys what she’s doing, and it always makes me happy when a girl who doesn’t look like a poster child for plastic surgery wins an event like this.

Anyway, it was a really fun night. I can’t think of many better ways to spend a Tuesday than with free booze and hot naked chicks!
