How does a Honey B. have paws, claws, fur, feathers and fins?

Hiding in his boat

In this day and age, the household pet is sometimes an overlooked member of the family, that cute little puppy that has grown into a handsome mature dog. As people get older interests change, no longer is there the enjoyment from taking the dog for a walk, or stroking a cat until it purrs on your lap, or just sitting there watching the flicker of colour in a gorgeous fish tank.

Volunteering at the Animal Welfare League of Queensland has given me so many opportunities to co habit with some of the most beautiful animals around, but this blog is about the ones closer to my heart. Along with my foster babies, I also have some pets of my own.

I briefly touched on my four legged furry family in my first blog, but I want people to know how they make me feel. The joy you can get from the unconditional love of a pet can never be lost. They are the only creatures on this planet that love you for who you are, not what you look like. My animals are what gets me up in the morning, they are my inspiration, my strength, and above all, my friends.

I know all my pets have their paws, wings and fins crossed for me at the Penthouse Pet of the Year finals this Thursday at Centrefold Lounge in Melbourne. I’m so excited, I have an amazing dress to wear by the very talented designer, Richard de Chazal. I can’t wait to show it off.

I want to thank everyone for all the support I’ve received in my quest for Pet of the Year. I would like to win to help further promote the best Adult magazine, Australian Penthouse and my animal welfare causes.

There is still time to vote, so click on the tab at the top and vote for me!

Much Love,

Glamour – B. Incredibly Sexy

by Honey B on Sep.06, 2009, under Honey B

Honey B.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know about a passion of mine; Glamour.

The definition of glamour is that it is an alluring and often illusory charm. But to me there is so much more to it than that. It is an attitude, a way of life. I have somewhat of a love affair with the past. Reading about the late 19th cetury thrills me; the breath taking costumes of silks, rustling petticoats and lace finery of long ago… And more recently, the early era of Hollywood stars. I’m thinking of Mary Pickford, the young Elizabeth Taylor, Vivian Leigh, Lauren “Betty” Bacall, Audrey Hepburn, Mae West and Rita Hayworth. All the women had a certain charisma, that “je ne sais quoi” that makes someone a star.

Then there are the modern day glamours, my personal favourite being the stunningly beautiful Dita Von Teese. This woman exudes style class and sophistication and is the undisputed Queen of the art of burlesque. A lot of the inspiration for my work comes from this remarkably talented woman.

Ladies“, said Mr Samuel Goldwyn, the famous Hollywood producer (1917-1953), “If you want to be devastating, use all the arts of sophistication, but remain demure

The phrase “The arts of sophistication” conjures up thoughts about good grooming, elegant dressing, beauty culture in all its aspects, poise and grace of movement, good speech and a developed personality; “demure” suggests that sweetness and serenity without which no woman can be truly beautiful.

Mr Goldwyn had it right.

101 uses for Honey in the kitchen

by Honey B on Sep.01, 2009, under Honey B

Hey Everyone,

Another busy week end at the office, Haha…

I love my job, I get to meet so many interesting people with the added bonus of taking my clothes off! Most people I meet have something interesting to say, even if it is not immediately apparent. I love being able to bring this something interesting out of them. You can learn something from everyone.

Just a short one this time guys as I am in the middle of cooking dinner. On the menu tonight is an old English classic that everyone loves. The BEST roast leg of lamb with roast veggies and mint sauce. I marinade the meat and place on the hot bars of the oven above the roasting tray. Roasting the meat on the bars makes the meat crisper all around and lets the delicious juices drip onto the roast veggies, making them super tasty. I make my own mint sauce, it’s so much nicer than the crappy stuff you buy in the shops. For dessert, I’m making a flourless chocolate cake. So rich and gooey and delicious with vanilla ice-cream. Mmmmmmmmm… Sorry, got a bit carried away there! As you may be able to tell, I LOVE food!

Well, things are sure heating up in the kitchen now, I have to get back to it. For real this time…

Love Honey B. xoxo

What’s the buzz with Honey B.?!

by Honey B on Aug.27, 2009, under Honey B

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to my first blog, hope you enjoy it!

My name is Honey B. and I was April 2009 Penthouse Pet of the Month. You can check me out in the “More Pets” section of the website.

So let me fill you in about myself. I am 24 years old, live on the Gold Coast, and work in clubs all over South East QLD. I am very passionate about animals and animal welfare. I currently co-habit with my two dogs, a blue cattle dog named Bluey & a tibetan spaniel, Suki, my two pure white cats, Halo & Momo, two cockatiels, Sherbert & Fizzy, two love birds, Jose & Maria, and about 30 fish which all have names, but I’m in no mood to list them!  I am a volunteer at the Animal Welfare League on the Gold Coast where I work as a Foster Mum. This means I always have extra animals coming and going from my house all the time as well.  My babies Keep me VERY busy!

At the moment I have some very young puppies that need bottle feeding every two hours around the clock. Very exhausting work…

Anyway, it’s time for another bottle feed. I’ll leave you here with some pictures of my babies.

Check in later for more about me and my crazy house full of fun.

Love Honey B.

xoxo
