Australian Penthouse

Well, fresh off the plane from performing at Allley Cats in Geelong and teaching an Advanced pole workshop at Kylie J Pole Studio.. I am about to jet set again, this time up to Brisbane where I am presenting at a conference (on striptease… what else!)

The conference is called Erotic Sound and Screen: Culture, Media, Desire and is full of amazing academics, activists and students coming together to speak about all sorts of wonderful perverted things! I can’t wait! There are going to be some amazing and inspirational speakers and I am thrilled to be part of it!

I was lucky enough to attend the AMAZING world bodypainting festival recently, a week of airbrushing, rainbows, market stalls, naked people, creative splendour and hippi love!

We drove down through the south of Germany – cute wooden houses, flower beds, adorable maid dresses, beer gardens – and stayed in a beautiful villa on the lake. My artist was Alexis Stafford from Canada, and we were in the airbrush category (the other categories being brush n sponge, special effects, and glow in the dark!) There were people wandering past fully dressed as sharks, mermaids, cyborgs and fairies … paradise!!

I was painted over two days – the theme for the first was ‘subcultures’ so I was decked out in full goth body makeup (even my striped suspenders were painted on!), and the theme for the second day was ‘sources of power’ so I was covered head to toe with crop circles, each stencilled invidually from real patterns found around the earth!

The best part was, I made an Australian Sex Party video talking about our policies in full bodypaint, which was featured on The Gruen Nation’s section on political advertising!

I was throwing up the whole week of the comp, missed my flights, and nearly didn’t make it down.. and the gorgeous Miss Gunz got me medicine and drinks, and even helped choreograph the last part of my show! What an angel
